Richard Myers

President

Having begun dealing with Insurance claims in 1973, Richard is the ‘been there, worked that claim’ personality that we all rely upon as the stable rock from which to build the business upon. With over 40 years of experience dealing with Liability claims, large losses and Catastrophe claims, his ability to adapt to the Industry over time proves that Brush Country Claims is an organization that can change with the times, but still remain true to the core family values that built the Brush reputation.

Kevin Myers, CPCU, ARM, AIC

Chief Executive OFficer

Kevin Myers is the Chief Executive Officer for Brush Country Claims overseeing all aspects of our business. In 2002, Kevin’s insurance career began at a large insurance carrier in Texas.  He specialized in Litigation Management for Property and Liability claims and had a key role in managing catastrophes, including the major impact of Hurricane Ike. In 2012, Kevin signed on with Brush Country Claims as Vice President of Catastrophe Operations. Kevin’s approach to the claims business is one that incorporates his experience on the carrier side working with many different firms and his direct experience on the independent side working across all areas of the business. Having achieved CPCU, ARM, and AIC designations, Kevin places a big emphasis on continuing education for all staff and on staying ahead of emerging industry trends and technologies.He earned a B.B.A. from Texas State University in 2004 and is currently working on his MBA.

Troy Stewart, LPCS

Chief Operations Officer

Troy Stewart is the Chief Operations Officer for Brush Country Claims.  He found his way into the property adjusting world through his love of design-build construction.Troy made his move to the Austin area in 2008, after spending 10 years as a custom homebuilder in Arizona.His construction knowledge and background were the perfect segue to handling property claims. Troy quickly rose as a top performer in the field due to his unparalleled attention to detail, accurate estimating skills, clear communication and outstanding customer service.Troy found his passion of the business in working the daily claim environment and handling large/complex loss. In 2012, Troy became the Vice President of Daily Claims and was tasked with developing Brush’s Quality Control Program and ongoing field training guides.Troy assisted in growing the Daily Claims department and oversaw the management, supervision and execution of quality claims reporting in the 48 contiguous states. In his free time, Troy enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children.Troy lives an active lifestyle ranging from playing sports with his son, to working out and spending times outdoors preferably in or near the water.

Maribel Serrano

Executive VP Finance

While the Claims and Catastrophe Operations are the lifeblood of any Independent Adjusting business, it is the Office of Financial Operations that allows it to exist. Over the last several years, this part of the BCC business has been in very capable hands. A graduate of the University of Puerto Rico and ICPR with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration on Finance, Maribel has merged all National Catastrophe and Branch Financial Operations into one consolidated unit. Maribel’s focus on streamlined methodologies and implementation of integrated systems allows BCC to operate as a larger company with the efficiencies and quick decision-making abilities of one much smaller.

Todd Farmer

SVP Catastrophe Operations

Todd Farmer joined the Brush Country Team in May, 2011 after 11 years with a leading claims software provider and over 150 software integrations in the Insurance Claims industry. Having worked with clients of all sizes, from Top 3 Carriers to the smallest Independent Adjusting firms, Todd brings knowledge of both client-specific requirements as well as state of the art technologies that allows Brush Country Claims to continually grow our business while still focusing on the “little things” that make us the best in the business. Being able to incorporate his knowledge from many years working with firms on catastrophic events across the country and being at ground zero during those times has proven invaluable for his transition into Brush Country’s Catastrophe Operations. When not working, you will find Todd spending time with his wife and dog, in a deer stand or on a softball field.

Pamela  Reed

VP of marketing and Recruitment

Ms. Reed currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Adjuster Recruitment at Brush Country Claims.  She has in excess of twenty years industry experience both as an adjuster as well as a successful business development professional working with hundreds of insurance carriers on a wide array of products. Pamela’s work history, training, ethics and ability to consistently improve upon deliverables uniquely positions Brush Country to assist our clients in the claims process with measurable results. Moreover, her esteemed reputation as both an accomplished, experienced adjuster as well as a Marketing Professional endears her to all current and prospective adjusters for us.

Craig Cunningham

CLAIMS Manager

Brush Country Claims was born from a need for Daily Claims Adjusters to handle the everyday claims that never garner the attention associated with a large-scale storm, but are just as important to the overall customer satisfaction for each carrier that we partner with. With over 14 years of experience handling claims of all sizes and loss types as well as managing teams responsible for large-scale events, Craig Cunningham leads this ever-growing sector of our business. Craig’s dedication to the “perfect product” as well as his ability to mentor others, is certainly an asset to Brush Country as well as the resources in the field tasked with going above and beyond for our valued partners with each claim. When not leading, guiding or mentoring our adjusters, Craig can be found on a motorcycle in the middle of a sand pit somewhere with his wife and girls.

Michael BOMER

CLAIMS Manager

A veteran catastrophe adjuster with many storms under his belt, Michael Bomer made the transition to an inside file examiner in 2012 and joined the Brush Country Daily Claims Team in 2015.  Mike’s keen eye for the smallest details and his dedication to always striving to produce the perfect product are essential in his every day role. As a Claims Manager, Mike oversees all daily operations for several of our larger key accounts and manages a team who share in his pursuit for perfection. Mike is also responsible for mentoring and educating some of our newer resources both behind a desk and in the field. Though claims are his passion, his true love is spending time with his wife and four children and can be found either in the woods or on a lake in his free time.

Jackie Najera

Liability Manager

Beginning her career in 2001 as an independent adjuster handling all sorts of Liability claims, Jackie Najera has handled every type of claim imaginable.  Be it product/construction defects, scene investigations, food contamination, DRAM cases or slip and falls, Jackie has the expertise to analyze the smallest detail and research to depths unimaginable to ensure that the claim is handled properly and thoroughly and will not stop until she is satisfied that all possible avenues to resolution have been exhausted. As the Liability Manager, Jackie oversees a team of Liability experts across the country whose jobs and the circumstance surrounding those claims change on a daily basis. But, that’s just the sort of challenge that Jackie thrives on.
